Seattle by Bus
Seattle's main transit system is called the Metro and is a bus system. The buses are efficient and travel frequently. Westlake Station and King Street Station supplies schedules and route information and have ticket sales.
Downtown Ride Free Area
This is a great system for getting around the inner city. The route is bounded by Battery Street, S Jackson Street, Sixth Avenue and the Waterfront. All around this route is free and the buses travel between 6am to 7pm daily

Seattle by Monorail
Constructed for the World's Fair in 1962, the monorail connects the Seattle Center with the Westlake Center, Downtown. The journey only takes 2 minutes and there are no stops, trains run every 10 mins, and it is good way to save the legs Downtown.

Seattle by Ferry
Ferries are a great way to get around and sight see especially in the Puget Sound district.
Tickets are available at departure points or from Pier 52, Colman Dock and Downtown.

Seattle by Foot
Walking is a great way to see Downtown and adjacent areas like Belltown and Capitol Hill. However, after that you will need to use public transport to get around.

Seattle by Car
Driving can be difficult in Seattle, so try to avoid it if you can. There are many one way streets to lose yourself in or congested freeways. Also parking is limited Downtown and expensive. All the usual hire car companies operate in Seattle.

Taxi's can be pricey and hard to find in Seattle.
